The English Grammar is easy as well as difficult in many means.

The English Grammar is highly important in understanding and writing perfect English.

English Grammar seems to be confusing always, we think that we master in the grammar at one end but on the other end, we always get confused when asked or to write.

English Grammar is the structure of an expression in the English language; the English language will be nothing without grammar.

Today in this text we will discuss in detailed that ‘What Are the Grammar Articles’

Articles:

An article is the type of adjective that is each time used to give information and describing the noun.

Articles used the noun to specify the kind of reference prepared by the noun.

The most significant step in choosing correct article is to classify the noun as count and non-count.

A count noun is a noun that has numbers such as three pencils whereas un-count noun cannot have numbers with it.

There are three kinds of article in English grammar that are:

Indefinite Article:

Indefinite means not specific ‘a’ and ‘an’ is used with the nouns which is being used in general.

‘A’ and ‘An’ are two indefinite articles

•    A is used at the beginning of the singular noun and count noun which starts with consonants (other than a, e, i, o, u)

•    An is used at the beginning of singular noun and count noun which starts with vowel (a, e, i, o, u)

We cannot use the indefinite article with a plural noun and noncount noun.

For Example

The Indefinite article used before a singular noun that is vague.

•    A pen

•    An umbrella

Indefinite articles used before a singular noun monitored by preventive transformer

•    A boy was playing with his friend

The indefinite noun is used with nouns to form adverb expressions.

•    He is a bit upset.

Definite article:

The word ‘the’ is said to be called the definite article which is used for specifying the noun.

The definite article is able to be specified with a singular noun, plural noun, count noun and uncounted noun.

For example:

The definite article is used to specify the noun that is distinctive.

•    The Indus River is beautiful

•    Pray to the God.

It is used to specify the usual phenomena.

•    The hours of darkness gets longer in the winter.

The indefinite article is used to discuss at a time.

•    This was my favorite drama is the 90’s.

•    She was very stubborn in the older years.

Used to specify the fellows.

•    She invited the celebrity for lunch.

•    He was playing with the boy.

Difference between ‘A’ and ‘The’

“The", as stated earlier, is active to provide information about specific or known nouns.

These are typically things that are declared before or that the perceiver is accustomed to.

On the opposite hand, "A" or "an" is active to speak regarding things that don't seem to be specific.

Usually, these are things that haven't been stated before or that the perceiver is unacquainted.

For example, study these sentences:

  • I go to a shopping mall
  • The shopping mall is very crowded.

It is obvious that within the 1st sentence, the speaker failed to attend see a specific Shopping mall.

He/she visited see any shopping mall and was chatting with a follower regarding identical.

The person during this case has either not been mentioned before or isn't that necessary, and so their identity is unknown.

Whereas, within the second sentence, the speaker refers to the shopping mall that had already been mentioned there.

The identity is already known, therefore, “the” has been accustomed refer the shopping mall.

The sentence cannot be complete without the articles; the importance of the articles in English grammar is like English is incomplete without articles.

If we don’t use an article in our sentence, the sentence will sound strange, incomplete and difficult to understand.

The absence of article will make the sentence unclear to the listener and speaker.

For example, this is pencil.

The sentence is although clear but if we add ‘a’ to that sentence the noun will be effectively describe and the sentence will look proper as this is a pencil.

Conclusion

From the above all detailed discussion, we concluded that some small words, as ‘a’, ‘an’ and ‘the’ have so importance in the English grammar that they give a true meaning to a sentence.

We hope that the above text with detailed discussion and useful easy example will be helpful for you to understand the how and when we use these grammar articles.
